We had a perfect little stop over at The Lighthouse Inn and was pleasantly surprised. The rooms as others mentioned was very spacious, immaculate and comfortable. The linen was fresh and towels fluffy. They use the best smelling body wash etc!! Breakfast was simple but lovely and fresh too. It was obvious the Inn was well managed and had staff committed to making a positive experience. Well done and thank you.

Rooms are a little dated, but clean. No biggie for $70/night! The staff was very nice and the Christmas themed lobby was delightful!I would definitely stay here again!

Great hotel with views of the harbor. The employees are so kind, one even gave us a list of restaurants nearby with hours of operation and highlighted the locals favorites! The water pressure in the shower is the best water pressure we have had in soooo long, it was nice! The rooms seem sound proof as well, which is a HUGE plus! Breakfast could be better, you basically just get toast, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, and apples and mandarin oranges to eat. The coffee machine is top notch with mochas, cappuccino, lattes, etc to choose from. If both you and your partner like an extra pillow to sleep with, then you will just need to ask the front desk, but this place was really nice and located in a great spot! Oh, and if you go to Gold Beach (or through it), make sure to eat at the Khob Kun Thai Food truck. It was the best food we had in all of Oregon. It was absolutely delicious and affordable!

This is a delightful place to stay for a couple of days. Harborside, you can fall asleep to the chime of wires and masts rocking in the water. And it's just about the closest you can stay to all the better restaurants in town. We loved the family atmosphere!

Clean, not expensive, great service. I would stay here again. If you want to see Redwoods ask about Howland Hill Rd. They tipped us off that we could travel 10 miles and see massive, old growth Redwoods. It was amazing!

Absolutely wonderful, spacious clean rooms, they have a nice little coffee machine, probably the best hotel coffee I'll find on my whole trip. The water pressure... The shower I took here was like being sand blasted by God.

So I want to qualify a few things about my rating. I haven’t stayed in an older motel in very very long time. I am a bit of a germaphobe (I can’t help that, it is what it is) so I tend to gravitate towards places that are more updated. Cleanliness is my top priority. When I was passing through this area and needed a last minute hotel, I realized there were really not any newer hotels in the area. That made me super nervous. Most of the places in this area had horrible reviews. This place got some of the better reviews with several mentions for its cleanliness, so we decided to stay. We just needed a place to crash for the night, a comfortable bed and a hot shower. The whole place is very very dated. The room looks like it was decorated in the 80’s and not updated since. Having said that, it WAS clean. The bathroom especially. Older decor doesn’t bother me per sé. It’s just that when you have older carpets curtains, bedding and fabrics, they tend to have years worth of wear and germs. While bedding can be cleaned, it is a bigger task to clean drapery and carpets. I would guess that most places don’t regularly clean their carpets if they look ok. Like I don’t know if many places are concerned with carpet cleanliness , probably only appearance. The carpet didn’t look visibly bad. But since I’m unsure in most places, I just don’t remove my shoes. The curtains were badly in need of cleaning. BUT, again, the bathroom was clean. The bed was fresh and clean. It had a clean refrigerator. Everything else was clean. The room had the extras that you might need, iron/ironing board, blow dryer. The next morning, when I went to take a shower, they had the most HEAVENLY bathroom products. It was invigorating! Changed my perspective. The room was very spacious. In fact, as we were walking out, and saw into a room that housekeeping was cleaning, we noticed a room with 3 beds. How convenient that must be for a large family! That is very considerate. I think this area just does not have a lot to offer in the way of updated lodging. So if you compare this place to what is offered in the area, I’m glad we chose it. I think they have made upgrades. The bathrooms are a bit upgraded and again, the shower products! I gave it 4 stars in consideration that for an older place, in an area where there isn’t much to offer, they do seem to be keeping it clean and doing some updating. We had no issues. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast is breads and cereals. It has an on-site laundry. Overall our stay was good. The room was very pricey to me, but maybe that was due to this being peak vacation time in this area, and the lack of available rooms in the area. They did give us the discount for veterans, so we appreciated that. The other motels in the area with the bad reviews were equally as pricey….so…. As a note to management, here is my two cents for what it is worth. I’m not meaning to be presumptuous to offer unsolicited advice, so you can simply ignore the advice if unwanted. I’m only offering, as the needed changes may be much simpler than one might think. Updated decor wouldn’t take much. The furniture, and art work is fine. The room just needs to be freshened up, especially the fabrics. I used to have a flooring store and I have done a lot of work with updating decor. I would recommend simply changing out the carpet for a glue down vinyl wood plank tile for cleanliness. It will last far longer than carpet, so it will save you. This is likely the only thing you’d need to hire out. The rest of the updates can be done yourself. I would give the curtains a good clean, update the bedspreads to white for ease of cleaning and a fresh look, remove the wallpaper border, give it a fresh warm neutral paint if it is needed, remove any fake plants and move furniture around to fill the space. Everything else is good. You will be the best place in town.

We stayed here while visiting Redwoods and it was a great location. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. The pillows were a bit lumpy and the noise from the other rooms was pretty bad. It's an older building so there isn't really much that can be done without a major renovation. I still think it was the best option for the area.

Best option for the area! Rooms are spacious and clean. Lots of counter space to spread out. Excellent shower pressure. Staff is wonderful and genuinely friendly. Only minor...I prefer sheet and comforter bed linens, not the old bedspread style. Location is great with lots of parking and a light continental breakfast. Again...we just loved the spacious and clean rooms. Decor is dated, but that's the charm of this place.
